Nice to meet you,

I'm Coach Sheila Faye

My dream was to become a teacher in an elementary school. That all changed when I became a mother and a wife at 18 years old. Being raised in a Matriarchal home with a single mom, I had learned a few things about being a mother. But being a wife was not so easy, it was a new training ground filled with trials and great tests of wills. After 50-plus years of marriage, two children, and six grandchildren, there are still chapters being written.

My Story

Sheila Faye: A Journey of Love, Growth, and Resilience

In the tender years of adolescence, I embarked on a journey that would profoundly shape my life. At a young age, I found myself juggling the responsibilities of a wife and mother, while still navigating the hurdles of teenage life. This journey unveiled a resilience and strength within me that I had never known.

Fast forward fifty years, and I stand as a testament to the enduring and complex
nature of marriage. My husband and I, a city boy and a country girl, embarked on our
love story with a simple yet powerful commitment: to provide a stable home for our
children. However, our diverse backgrounds posed significant challenges. His nightlife
habits clashed with my unfamiliarity with such a lifestyle, and our differing family
dynamics added complexity to our marriage philosophy.

Our paths crossed unexpectedly, and despite dating other people, it was clear that
fate had other plans. I remember asking for a tall, handsome, light-skinned, bow-legged man named Paul to be my husband, but life brought me someone different, someone meant for me. Our relationship, initially seen as a temporary fling, took a serious turn when I became pregnant. Despite my reluctance to marry, the disappointment in my mother's eyes led me to reconsider, and thus, we were married on March 17, 1973.

The ensuing years were a rollercoaster of emotions and experiences.
Our marriage endured heartbreak, separation, broken promises, and even the brink of divorce. But through it all, our bond was fortified by the love of God, transforming our journey into one of survival and ultimately, a testament to the power of enduring love. As a relationship coach for women, I am passionate about sharing the wisdom gleaned from my experiences. I believe that being a wife is more than a title; It's a lifelong journey of love, growth, and endless possibilities. It's about nurturing your relationship, finding personal fulfillment, and crafting a unique love story.
